Montreal is a vibrant metropolis, and as the country starts to get on board with potential therapeutic benefits of hallucinogenic mushrooms, so too are some retailers. These stores sell psilocybin, a psychoactive substance in mushrooms, which some users claim has therapeutic effects. Learn more :shroomhub.io
The stores are selling pills, dried fungi and chocolate bars, all of which contain the psychedelic drug psilocybin. While psilocybin is a controlled substance and illegal to sell and possess in Canada, mushroom shops are opening in spite of this. Police have raided the stores several times, and arrests have been made.
But this is just the start of the psilocybin boom, and more stores are likely to open than are being closed. It’s a development that mirrors what happened with cannabis before it became legal in Canada, according to an expert.
Montreal’s ‘Fun Guyz’ Magic Mushroom Shop Has Been Raid Again
Montreal police officers went to the door of FunGuyz on Thursday, conducting a third search since the store opened less than a month ago. The store offers pills, dried fungi and chocolate bars that contain the psychedelic drug psilocybin, which is banned from sale and possession in Canada. Owner Annie Sirois and her son have both pleaded guilty to possession of drugs with intent to traffic.
If you’re interested in trying magic mushrooms, be sure to start with a low dose and choose a safe, comfortable setting where you feel comfortable taking them. Also, consider having a trip sitter with you in case you need help while on your journey.
